Quite complex so let’s break it down. The Taal Crater Lake is a Lake in an Island (Taal Volcano) which is also within a lake (Taal Lake) which is inside an Island (Luzon). There! How to get to Taal Lake
Take a bus that is bound to Olivares, Tagaytay.
From Tagaytay, ride a tricycle that will take you to the rotunda to Taal Volcano.
From Taal Volcano, you will need to trek to reach the top or you can ride a pony/horse.
Fees in Going to Taal Lake
The banka fare can have a rate up to Php 2, 000.oo. So mind negotiating to go down the price. There is an entrance fee when you reach the foot of taal volcano which is Php 50.oo.
The horse ride can cost up to Php 1, 500.oo and this is the right time to show off your haggling skill. If you want to save that horse backriding fee, do the trekking.
