How get to Mount Mayon:
Unfortunately, Mount Mayon is not available for mountain climbers everyday. There are protocols that must be followed and you must cooperate with the government for safety or specifically cooperate with the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. If the PHIVOLCS allows the climbers, there are guides and tours available in Legazpi City.

Today, Mount Mayon is one the most visited tourist spot in the Philippines and is regularly monitored by Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). PHIVOLCS deploys electronic distance meters (EDMs) and other technologies to monitor its daily activity. For the late months this year 2014, Mount Mayon shows some patterns of eruption but it never erupted. There are safety measures observed in Mount Mayon today.
