Boracay: Paradise Island

Boracay is renowned to the world as the perfect tourist spot for relaxation. It is a small island with an area of 3.98 square miles. Many awards Boracay had received from local to international. In fact, it has been awarded as the best island in the world by travel magazine Travel + Leisure in 2012.

The White Beach raised the name of Boracay to many counties. During the months of November to May, tourists around the world gather in Boracay because it is during these months that the beach is calm due to Amihan Season.

On the other side of the Island, Bulabog Beach can be found where the waves are high and the winds blow wild. This is the perfect spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding.

Boracay is located at the tip of Panay Island and approximately 196 miles away from Manila. It comprises of 3 barangays in the municipality of Malay, Aklan: Barangay Balabag, Barangay Manoc- Manoc and Barangay Yapak.

How to get to Boracay:

Caticlan is the entry point of Boracay that can be reached by cars. When you are at Caticlan, you can ride a jeepney of bus to Kalibo. Getting to the island, you can either ride a motorcycle, bike, motorbikes, or walk along the beaches.
