Seco Island could be the most beautiful island in the province of Antique. You may have seen drone photos if it online especially on social media that caught your interest. It is a small and elbow shape island with 1.5 kilometers stretch of white sand and shallow clear and bluish waters.
The word “Seco” means elbow by the locals of Antique. The island is located in the municipality of Tibiao, Antique which also the jump off point to the island.
Seco Island is one of the best destinations in Antique if you want to have some beach outings, swimming, camping and kiteboarding. Well in fact is it one of the Top 5 kiteboarding site in the Philippines by YAHOO. Most kitesurfers from Boracay tend to go here.
How to Get to Seco Island
Currently, there are no direct flights bound to Antique. There are only 2 jump off points to Antique – Iloilo City and Caticlan.
It is around 172 kilometers from Iloilo City and 93 kilometers from Caticlan in Aklan province. The bus ride is around 4 hours from Iloilo (fare is around Php 200.00) and 2 hours from Caticlan (fare is around Php 100.00).
There are two-way motorboat rates going to Seco Island, Php 2,000.00 good for 2 passengers and Php 10,000.00 good for at least 10 persons.
