9. Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC)
Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) is one of the famous tourist spots in Guimaras, commonly a part of island-hopping itinerary in the province. It is composed of four islets with floating fish cages interconnected by floating foot bridges. This is a perfect place for kids even adults to witness and learn something out of this marine reserve. This is where studies are conducted and different marine lifeforms are being cultured like giant clams, sea horse, turtles and more from small to giant fishes. 10. Balaan Bukid (Holy Mountain)
Balaan Bukid (Holy Mountain) is one of the famous tourist destination in Guimaras for locals and foreign pilgrims. During Holy Week there is a special reenactment of the Jesus Christ’s crucifixion called Pagtaltal in this mountain where a man carrying a cross will actually be crucified atop the hill. People found it not easy on the way up but also not too hard. Some described the ambiance of the road going to the top is very soothing to the soul most especially if you reach the top. There is a chapel and a giant cross at the top and a breath-taking panoramic view of Iloilo Strait.
